Ms. Burnette has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has 25 years experience working with children with disabilities in educational and residential settings, specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and behavioral intervention. Ms. Burnette was certified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a Clinical Reviewer for the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Projects funded to collect national data on the prevalence of ASD.

Julia Siemens
Board President

Julia Siemens graduated in May, 2005 with a Masters in Business Administration from John Brown University. Julia has also been busy raising three boys, one of whom is autistic. She enjoys a career in the Business Division at John Brown University. The passion for learning more about business and autism led to the vision of the Northwest Arkansas Autism Resource Center. Ms. Siemens has spent countless hours researching the many therapies, theories and needs of ASD.

Dayna Miller graduated from Arkansas State University with a BS in Communication Disorders in 2006 and a Masters in Communication Disorders in 2007. She is currently interning to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), as well as being the parent of an 9 year old with autism. She is Co-founder and current Vice President of the Autism Association of Northeast Arkansas, as well as co-founder of the Social Pragmatic Awareness Resource and Consulting Center (SPARC Center, INC.) in Jonesboro. AAROC History-- Arkansas Autism Resource and Outreach Center (AAROC) was established January 2008 as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, the vision of individuals desiring to support families facing the daunting challenge of ASD. The founding board was established during this time and consists of dedicated parents, teachers and healthcare professionals desiring to equip our families with the resources needed.


Our mission is to provide “Hope, Direction and Support” by providing comprehensive services for the Arkansas Autism community. Coordination of services consists of the most current resources, education and training possible, giving HOPE for the challenges ahead.
